Every week each member of our team picks one photo that's inspiring them to share with our readers. This week's theme is kitchens!
I'm usually drawn to dark counters but this design may sway my opinion. I've also really been into minimalistic hood fans lately. Sometimes less is more?
Although my obsession with black and white falls into all areas of the home, colour done right is always welcome! This cottage-like kitchen caught my eye and had me daydreaming about an escape to the country. I'm a sucker for a space that's both eye-catching and completely cozy in nature all at the same time. I could definitely spend a relaxing weekend baking away with the fam in this oh-so-cute kitchen!

I’ve got a walnut and white kitchen in the works right now and while the style of this one is a little more minimal (can something be
minimal?), this gorgeous Belgian kitchen reassures me that these finishes together is a winning combination. White is the perfect chameleon neutral, working in any design style from very traditional to ultra modern, and natural wood grain is the ultimate in warmth and natural appeal.
From the heavily veined marble backsplash to the integrated backsplash shelf, to the flat-front black cabinetry (sans hardware), this minimalist kitchen combines everything I’m loving in kitchen design right now.
I’m down to this kitchen for a number of reasons; the first being the backsplash! It really catches the eye and because it’s only on a small piece of wall, it’s not too overpowering. Second, I love how open, spacious and bright it feels! And lastly, the wood beams and stove hood are a nice contrast to the light cupboards and countertop!
I am loving the use of built-in glass cabinets in a kitchen. These ones featured in a project called Villa E by Studio Ko, a French design firm, are absolutely stunning!
