We were recently approached by a lovely local photographer named Anne-Marie about using our shoppe as a set for an upcoming photography project. That request on its own was a huge compliment, and we were excited and flattered. Then she went on to explain that the money raised from this project would directly support a local charity in memory of a victim of childhood cancer. We knew right away that we wanted to be involved.
Next Saturday, October 5th, between 10 am and 4 pm, Anne Marie will be in store providing quick five-minute family shoots. A minimum donation of $125 is requested and the fundraiser is cash-only. If your kids don’t sit still, no worries; ours we’re running literally all over the place. Pictured above is us trying to hold them still for two seconds to get a photo! Candid photos are the best anyway, right?

More about Phoebe:
Phoebe Rose was a beautiful healthy baby girl who at just two months old was diagnosed with infantile leukaemia a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She put up a brave fight but sadly lost her battle when she was just 5 yrs old. Her amazing family has started the Phoebe Rose Rocks Foundation to help support others faced with the same situations as well as pursue childhood cancer research for cures and better treatment options. (I’m typing this post while sobbing). Looking at my own children. I can’t imagine what these or any parent dealing with high risk illnesses are going through. All we can do is come together as a community to support and raise awareness with them!
We can’t wait to welcome lovely families into our store to take some beautiful, relaxed family portraits in support of a great cause. It’s up to all of us to do what we can to give back in our communities. Thank you in advance for your support!
