Leclair Decor Roles

Design Technician (Full-time)


We are looking for an experienced Design Technician to bring their digital rendering and design specification skills to our team! The chosen candidate will be responsible for the production of critical design documents, including as-built plans, detailed technical demolition/construction plans, lighting and plumbing plans, millwork elevations, custom furniture drawings, exterior elevations, 2D and/or 3D mockups and rendering, and detailed specification sheets. This role will have you working closely with our project leads to finalize executional design packages, which are provided to general contractors and various trades at the outset of construction projects. This is primarily a back-end role with a heavy concentration of computer-based work. Responsibilities

  • Attend and assist with preliminary and incidental site visits to gather accurate measurements and photos
  • Prepare as-built drawings to be used by project leads during design phase
  • Prepare, revise, and finalize all technical design documents, including (but not limited to) demo/construction plans, lighting & plumbing plans, custom cabinetry elevations, custom furniture drawings, exterior elevations, 2D and/or 3D mockups, etc.
  • Make technical recommendations based on the design vision established by project leads
  • Prepare detailed specification sheets of all project finishes and fixtures
  • Assemble and conduct extremely thorough review of final document packages
  • Prepare and deliver design revisions as needed throughout construction in a timely fashion
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support successful outcomes for the company.
  • Provide general design and project management support to project leads as needed

  • Interior Design, Architecture, or Architectural Technology degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • 2+ years of full time technical design experience
  • Experienced and skilled in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets, as well as other Google applications
  • Thorough understanding of Ontario Building Code and current industry standards
Assets
  • Bilingual (English & French)
  • NKBA Certification or similar qualification
  • BCIN registration
  • Experience assembling design packages for large scale residential construction projects

Bookkeeping Associate (Full-time)


We're searching for a detail-oriented Bookkeeping Associate to join our team to assist with maintaining our books! In this role, you will work digitally alongside our Bookkeeper to input data with the goal of ultimately keeping the company's books organized and up-to-date. To succeed in this role, you must be a quick learner with excellent communication skills who is willing to dive right in on day one. If you're a friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled individual with experience using Quickbooks, we're looking for you to join our team! Responsibilities

  • Hubdoc management; which includes a daily cleanup of Hubdoc, ensuring invoices are not duplicated, and that there are no unnecessary documents
  • Posting invoices daily from Hubdoc to Quickbooks and ensuring everything is recorded accurately
  • Weekly match of credit card statement charges with posted invoices to Quickbooks
  • Communicating with employees to locate missing invoices
  • Assisting in credit card reconciliation
  • Overseeing freight and customs bills
  • Overseeing accounting for refunds/credits on claims
  • Responding to emails and perform other administrative tasks

Marketing and Social Media Associate (Full-time)


We are looking for a creative and analytical Marketing and Social Media Associate to join our Marketing Team and oversee our online presence on all social media accounts! In this role, you would research and generate ideas for social media campaigns, monitor and track analytics, and collaborate with graphic designers and copywriters to ensure the content is both attractive and engaging. Another exciting and important aspect of this role is maintaining and building relationships with partners and collaborators. With all that considered, strong communication and time management skills are considered essential to be successful in this position! Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create a social media calendar and to provide attractive and informative campaigns
  • Stay up to date with industry tools, standards, and strategies as they relate to social media and digital marketing

Executive Assistant (Full-time)


We are looking for a highly organized and growth-oriented Executive Assistant to work alongside our Design Manager as she guides and supports our growing Design Team! In this role, you will assist with the Design Manager’s daily activities, while also diving deep into the overall operations of the design team. We see this opening as more than just an administrative role as it offers major growth potential for the right candidate as we continue to evolve as a company. So, if you’re an ideas person who is innovative, organized, and loves spreadsheets, we’re looking for you! Responsibilities Executive Support

  • Assist with personal calendar management and scheduling for Design Manager
  • Prepare outlines and/or early drafts for a variety of written items on behalf of the Design Manager. Some examples include detailed emails, new job descriptions, new policies and process overviews, memos, and updates
  • Assist with processing new leads, initiating contact with prospective clients, new client onboarding, and with research and information gathering for new internal projects and ventures
  • Use existing tools and templates (as well as new ones you may create!) to assist with preparation of service proposals, such as quotes and project schedules
  • Prepare monthly reports on all billed revenue and present analytics to track financial targets
  • Assist with project administration and select tasks required by senior team members as needed
Team Coordination
  • Create and coordinate training schedules for new hires and prepare detailed training calendars with video conference links prepped for all training blocks
  • Ensure new hires are set up with all relevant design softwares such as Adobe, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Create and coordinate co-op and/or intern schedules with existing team members
  • Prompt and schedule employee development reviews in accordance with HR schedule
  • Assist with planning and coordinating team-building activities, events, gatherings, workshops, etc. for the Design Team
Organizational Excellence
  • Take and summarize notes during design team meetings to ensure rapid follow through on all tasks discussed
  • Make timely updates to process documents as changes to systems are discussed and implemented, and ensure documentation is always up-to-date
  • Propose new systems, routines, and processes to directly influence our capacity and efficiency as a team
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and the full Google Suite of tools
  • 2+ years experience in an EA or administrative role (or similar) strongly preferred

Video Editor (Full-time)


We are looking for a creative and technical Video Editor to join our Marketing Team as they begin to accelerate Leclair Decor and LD Shoppe’s digital storytelling online! In this role, you'll manage all kinds of materials, such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to produce video content. This is a key role in the post-production process and your skills can determine the quality and delivery of the finished result, which reflects heavily on the Leclair Decor and LD Shoppe brand. So, if you think you’re the right person for the job, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities

  • Follow/consult with our Creative Producer and Creative Director’s specifications and vision, from initial production all the way to post-production
  • Edit a wide range of videos including, but not limited to, ‘how-to’ and lifestyle videos for our website, social media content, digital advertising, and email marketing campaigns. Video editing duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Reviewing shooting scripts and raw materials
  • Following shot list and prioritizing footage based on priority
  • Trimming footage and arranging the sequence of the video
  • Inputting music, dialogue, graphics, and effects
  • Creating rough and final cuts
  • Seamlessly manipulate and edit video content while adhering to our brand standards and guidelines
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency and quality of content
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven, quality work experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio

  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity as they relate to editing
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositionning

The Sales Associate is the primary point of contact for LD Shoppe customers, providing exemplary customer service by serving all customers promptly and professionally and identifying opportunities to promote Shoppe merchandise to better meet customers’ needs. LD Market Associate (Full-time)


We’re seeking a creative and ambitious LD Market Associate to join the LD Shoppe team! This is a new position that we’re excited to introduce as a part of our third expansion, which will see a dedicated market section of the shoppe for small, giftable items! This position is an extension of our Sales Associates, in which you will be expected to provide exemplary customer service by serving all LD Market customers promptly and professionally. You will be the primary merchandiser in this section of the store, which means you’ll be our lead in ensuring all display areas are organized, welcoming, and that inventory is maintained. Responsibilities

  • Create a positive customer experience by understanding and meeting service needs quickly and professionally
  • Be a product knowledge pro and advise customers on the use and care of merchandise, providing advice concerning specialized products and services

Boutique Stockroom Associate (Full-time)


We are looking for an organized and team-oriented individual to join our Boutique Stockroom team! This position requires someone with close attention to detail, who loves to stay organized, and can pack up a storm! Yay! In this role, you will assist with packing and shipping decor orders to our lovely customers. You will need to bring your mini muscles to help move smaller items in the back, but no major warehouse storage here! Responsibilities

  • Organize stockroom and ensure its cleanliness
  • Pull stock for online orders
  • Assemble shipping materials, record contents, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
  • Receive shipments and allocate them accordingly, which includes unpacking, coding, and transporting goods to appropriate storage areas
  • Load, unload, transport, and store goods
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods
  • Following up with clients via email, handling tracking issues, communicating wait times, and updating clients about replacement pieces

E-Commerce and Graphic Design Associate (Full-time)


We’re seeking a strategic and detail oriented E-Commerce and Graphic Design Associate to take on the exciting opportunity of helping manage the online side of LD Shoppe! We are so thrilled to be seeing LD Shoppe grow and we are looking for someone who is as passionate about e-commerce and creating beautiful, shoppable websites as we are! If you love learning about market trends and are a skilled Photoshop user, this might just be the perfect role for you. To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be organized, detail oriented, and love all things digital, including communication. Each day is different at LD Shoppe and the ability to wear many hats and embrace challenges is a must! Our company is growing quickly, so our roles are always evolving. Responsibilities

  • Assist in adding beautiful products to the website daily, which will include lots of photo editing in Photoshop
  • Use your detail-oriented eyes to ensure each product listing is consistent, on brand, and meets our company quality standards
  • Help with fine tuning the website layout and suggesting changes so we can continue to improve the online shopping experience
  • Communicate and identify inefficiencies in logistics and/or user experience issues
  • Prepare additional tools/resources that will be available to customers from the website (Product Cleaning PDF’s, Care Instruction PDF’s, etc.)
  • Approach all situations with a solution-oriented mindset to help develop improve the website and update policies accordingly
  • Perform any basic administrative tasks needed to ensure the website is up to date, accurate, and as user-friendly as possible

LD Shoppe Design Consultant (Full-time)


If you’re confident, solution-oriented, and passionate about all things interior design, you might just be the perfect person to become our LD Shoppe Design Consultant! In this role, you will be a leader in our showroom and assist clients who are seeking an elevated level of support and attention in our showroom. You will dive deep into product knowledge and become an in-house expert on our beautiful products! You will also provide our guests with expert advice on selections for their home, both on the fly on our showroom floor, and during scheduled consultations. Responsibilities

  • Be a fountain of knowledge when it comes to items on our website and our manufacturers, and be able to suggest pieces that meet our clients design needs
  • Provide well-curated advice to clients who book design consultations
  • Lead 60-90 min consultations with customers as needed
  • Based on the customers needs create mood boards and shopping lists that highlight the LD style and their vision
  • Help develop our product knowledge resources to help more of our team members be an expert like you
  • Offer advice to clients who come into our showroom looking for quick design advice before finalizing a purchase - you have the power to make sales happen
  • Help maintain the store, which includes organizing samples, merchandising, pricing
  • Take the lead in the Custom Section of the showroom and assist clients with everything that comes along with placing custom orders

Visual Merchandising Associate (Full-time)


We’re seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Visual Merchandising Associate to join our team at LD Shoppe! As a Visual Merchandising Associate, you will be assisting our Lead Merchandiser to constantly create new and beautiful visual displays in our store. You’ll use your creativity to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the shoppe window displays, walkways, counters, and walls! In a nutshell, as the Visual Merchandising Associate you will execute the following: Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Merchandiser to plan and develop all kinds of beautiful themes and colour schemes for store displays
  • Flex your creative muscles and source necessary props and materials for displays
  • Be ahead of trends and anticipate product needs! You will be analyzing sales figures, customer reactions, and market trends to help plan product ranges/stock
  • Arrange and display merchandise in creative and enticing ways to help maximize customer interest and increase sales
  • Produce layout plans for the shoppe, ensure the shelves are always full, and monitor inventory closely to ensure we can keep our shelves stocked
  • Monitor stock levels and encourage movement of product by considering markdowns, promotions, and price adjustments
  • Be a driving force in executing successful sales and seasonal store flips
  • Be in-tune with your festive side and change displays to promote new product launches and reflect holidays and seasonal themes
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills are required to be successful in this position
  • Efficiency is key as good design work takes planning, project management skills, and serious time management abilities
  • You are up-to-date with the latest and greatest merchandising best practices
  • Experienced in identifying target audiences and devising plans that engage, inform, and motivate customers
  • Reliable, motivated, and a self-starter who can effectively present ideas to the team
  • You’ll need a keen eye for design and effective problem-solving abilities to help create the most aesthetic visual displays possible
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must as you will be working in a collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Basic computer skills are required as you will be required to order products online and create virtual mood boards
  • A growth mindset is a must as we love when our team members are excited to grow within the company and are open to learning and taking on new tasks in their roles
  • Fluency in both English and French is an asset
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Marketing (or a related field) is required
  • Preference given to applicants with experienced creative abilities, as demonstrated by a portfolio of work
